I believe this is not an issue with misunderstanding but due to the vast amount of possibly moves. IIRC there was a similar move some month ago, where the correct move wasn't analyzed deeper but skipped on the 1-ply level. I don't remember whether it could be fixed with giant search space.

Just for the records: BGBlitz plays 12/11* 23/21 too with 1..4-ply
