Playing the GG side requires more checker-play skill, on average, than defending against GG

Generally speaking, there are more checker-play options, and more tough decisions, for the GG player than for the GG defender, particularly when the attack is in full swing. For example, the GG defender in this thread's subject position is more likely than his attacking opponent to be dancing, or playing half or all of his roll forced from the bar, as the game progresses -- he is under attack, after all. The player rolling from the bar may still have some tough decisions (when he avoids dancing), but not as many tough decisions as the player who has (or is more likely to have) all 15 checkers in play on the board, pressing what might be a complex attack. Obviously these games turn around frequently, and can become tricky for both sides, but, on average, the would-be gammonee is much more likely to be a passive pinata, with more forced moves and fewer important decisions, than the would-be gammoner. Evidence? No, I don't have any evidence. It's my opinion, that's all. I would be interested in your opinion if you disagree.
