If you can't see the dice with your own eyes, then you are guessing/assuming what the roll is, aided by certain evidence. It is possible that a 61, 62, 63, 64 or 66 was rolled, played illegally, and not corrected by the players.

Your guessing in this scenario is fine and I would do the same, so the point is to cut Terje some slack.
