In Response To: Question about match strategy for Grandmasters (winfox)

I have discussed this with Xavier in the past and he has no interest in adjusting xg in this manner. By the way, XG is long overdue to come out with an apple version and other updates and improvements....Xavier put more time into the mobile app and other priorities.

Far more important to the backgammon world would be an xg that not only tells what is right, but why. Of course this would be nearly impossible except for the first 3 moves where, if standard moves are made, it would be possible to give written or recorded explanations from the pros. Also, it would be possible for xg to include a tutorial on specific areas of the game with reference positions. There is much that can be done to take XG to a "higher level" as a teaching software.

In the meantime, I do want to remind people that they can get really excellent lessons and tutorials for very little money, from some of the top teachers in the game, at mindgamescenter.com .
