Phil, as an afterthought, haven't you questioned this yourself in the past?

In RGB, Murat makes a good point in saying "You can't have ER and Strategy at the same time." (See https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/rec.games.backgammon/BRj56v81lGY)

A low PR may mean that you play more like the bot that assigns you that PR compared to its own way of playing. And nothing more, really.

It doesn't mean that a human player, or for that matter another bot who may play much differently, with a high PR according to a certain bot can't be an as good or better player.
