First, thank you for taking the time to check out the app and give us your feedback and excellent points. Everything you stated has been passed on to the development team and is being considered. This is exactly the kind of feedback we were hoping for.

Keep in mind that this is being done as an aid, and another approach to hopefully bring more people into the game. Kids love electronics and might enjoy backgammon more with this, and of course, when it talks, it will be great for visually-impaired. I don't have to remind you that we have a lot of elderly people in the game that have trouble reading the dice.

We have talked about adding an electronic dice roller as an accessory on the P-40 board, but it might be that this app is all that is needed for those who prefer this method.

Also keep in mind that this is a free app...we're not trying to make any money on this...just looking at ways to help enhance and promote the game.
