They were not tested in pairs. No one ever said they were. And no one is asking you to accept P-40's data. Make your own judgment and do your own research. What we have told you is the facts about backgammon dice...facts that most of us didn't know, including me...that they are not really precision dice even though we call them that. And that with testing of INDIVIDUAL die, you will find that virtually all will favor some numbers if you test them long enough, and that will prove the point.
Knowing Bob Koca, he will not accept any claim unless it is clearly proven and he sees the proof or he proves it himself. Not to accept the claim that precision dice are not precision doesn't mean that claim is wrong, and I challenge anyone to prove that is wrong.
However, let's assume for a second that even Bob Koca will eventually be convinced that precision dice aren't really giving us truly random rolls. So what? It's probably still the best dice we can use on a backgammon board and it's good enough for our purposes. We are not trying to say that the dice shouldn't be used. We are simply saying that it is not correct to claim that an electronic dice generator is less likely to produce random rolls than the dice we're using when in fact, our contention is that is it more likely to produce random rolls. But even if both were perfect in that regard and there was no possibility of cheating or hacking, that's not the issue at all or the reason for elecrtronic dice. And our reason for trying out a new app is not to make money (it's free and it cost a bunch of money to develop it) but to possibly add something that will improve the game in some areas for some people.
If that nauseates somebody, that's their problem.
