Position 5-28 Setup

Boot Camp Position 5-28 has a Black checker off the board, but since he's coming into his home vs. a 1+4 backgame and still has his bar point, this seems very unlikely to have been what Walter meant. So it appears we need to put that extra checker on the board somewhere.

I am quite sure Walter meant the bar point to be on the verge of being cleared, so that's not where the spare should be, nor should it be wandering around in the outfield somewhere. That leaves us three choices, and when we run put it on the 5, 3, or 2 we find quite different results. XGR++ finds a pass with that spare on the 5, but a take if it's on the 3 or 2.

Two points of interest: 1) XGR++ says it's a little better for Black if the spare is on the 3 rather than the 2--timing beats out diversification by a bit here.) 2. XGR++ finds it worse for Black if he already has a checker off vs. having that spare on the 5 point, even though his small chance of getting gammoned disappears.
