Interesting position. This might sound like a daft question, but OTB, I would probably try to retain the immediate purity of my prime / homeboard and just cover the 2 from my 7.

Can anybody explain, what would be their thought process for ending up with selecting 24/22 5/2 OTB?

After 24/22 5/2 I can see that some immediate 6's play awkwardly for my opponent, opening an escape route to the outfield for our spare on the 22. But it feels more likely that they will roll an 'ok' or 'good' number for themselves next roll.

What is the general expectation / hope / benefit of what will happen after 24/22 5/2?
