Do intermediate players make conservative plays?

I am an intermediate player, and I frequently play too loose. Those would be aggressive plays. There are times when I see a very aggressive play, but am afraid to take the perceived risk.
I would suggest that intermediate players, or perhaps I should speak only for myself, are developing the skills to understand the genuine risks and probabilities of of different types of actions, and that we frequently over estimate and under-estimate the actual risk. As a result, intermediates frequently play too conservative, or too loose. Some may tend toward conservative play, while some may tend towards aggressive play. I have been at both ends of the spectrum.
I believe that we often play too conservative, and often play too aggressively, depending on our perceived risk. Perhaps, in the long run, this is natural for players of all levels, with the more skilled players having acquired a better understanding of the actual risks and rewards involved.
respectfully to all, Scotty
