Help interpreting an XG Rollout

In Response To: Help interpreting an XG Rollout (Albert Steg)

In 2006 Microsoft published FlightsimX for PC. Its advanced settings could not be taken advantage of by the vast majority of PC's in use, maybe they were future proving it as it was their last flight sim offering. In 2009 extremegammon ,commonly known as XG was published. Its advanced settings were far beyond most current PC's of the day and that is true to this day and I guess will be so for a very long time. Fortunately short cuts and truncated settings are available in order that less powerfull PC'S can utilise them. They give adequate results but certainly not definitive ones. It is an odd fact of life that some humans cannot handle the thought that a computer is more capable of solving a problem than they. Their brain goes into overstack and deems the computer is wrong when it does not agree with their thoughts. When the computer is proven correct their brain goes into denial. " XG does not understand back games" XG understands nothing, but if you give it the legs it will give you the answer. This can take many days subject to the settings. I guess there's plenty of numbers to crunch lol. With regard to the example, the rollout is completely inadequate for such a complex position. The best rolls may be there then they may not. I have done many deep rollouts and there often is a common outcome. The top answers often are a submissive play and an aggressive play. The equity difference obviously being of no real consequence. Take your pick according to your style or ability. I was surprise at a recent post regarding intermediate players not making aggressive plays. Why would they being intermediate players thats normal to play what one understands. One day they will be experienced enough as an open player to make aggressive plays. I am pretty sure that OTB I would not play 4/3* Tooo complicated for me to get my head around. It may be best as white has some dreamy rolls that need hindering. I will stick with the strength off my home board. Learn how to read roll odds (dice distribution) Learn how to give a game a winning % Learn cube tactics Pl ay plenty of BG Get a more powerfull PC Use common sense Use XG and all its facilities A discerning mind (very handy) You will now understand XG results
