I was still mulling this one over when Timothy posted the answer. I confess, however, I was leaning towards 8/4 6/4.

Evidently, this is one of the very large number of exceptions to the principle, "Don't leave direct shots on both sides of the board at the same time". I have a collection of more than one hundred different position where it right slot and split on the same roll!
