I see that Colin and Casper have already given you the answer, but let me point out that it might be easier if you do the operations in reverse order.

Suppose I write down all the numbers from 1 to 100. Then I make 95 guesses and stroke out those numbers from the list. That leaves 5 numbers not stroked out.

You choose a number from 1 to 100. What are the chances that you pick one of the five unstroked numbers?

(5 out of 100, or 1/20)
