Chouette question ( or a case of premature ejection)

In Response To: Chouette question ( or a case of premature ejection) (Peter Wisniewski)

In our chouette the double wouldn't have counted, and the Captain would get lectured for fast rolling.

But how about: The roll remains on the board. Only the person who said double has the option of doubling or not now that a roll is out there. If he doubles, the box makes a decision on the cube, and then to whether or not he wants the roll to stand or be re-rolled. If the there is no double, then the box just decides if he wants a re-roll or not.
