USBGF Rules - Valid roll issue

There's quite a bit of difference between those codes and USBGF "code".

1. Only one can be read in a few minutes.

2. Any tournament player is expected to understand the USBGF code. Attorneys and accountants argue endlessly over federal codes. Whole companies and armies of consultants exist to deal with federal codes, never mind lobbyists.

3. The cost of polling hundreds of millions of Americans exceeds the cost of polling a thousand or two tournament players.

4. Paying taxes, which are governed by the tax code, is mandatory. Paying USBGF membership fees are voluntary.

I don't think having a vote takes anything away from the rules. On the contrary, I think it would validate them.

By the way, I don't think there should be an up or down vote. I think there should be a referendum and it should have a few breakouts. The governmental analogy would be a line-item veto.
