"GG" face on doubling cube?

Sorry, I don't have an image, but in this YouTube video @49'28" onward you can see the cube on the right hand side and centred and showing the "GG" face. I have seen this cube many times, I'm not sure but maybe only ever in games played in Japan. I assume the "GG" would normally be the '64' face. Interestingly on this video the "GG" almost looks like '66' or '99', but on others it's very clearly "GG".
