There is no time pressure, but human nature (or at least my nature, which may or may not be human) may respond as though there is. The quiz is posted on the wall of the hall leading in to the suite of tournament rooms, with doorways to one of the smaller rooms, open ends to the elevators, the washrooms (and vending machines), and the main tournament room. There is a fair amount of traffic moving in and out.

A sensible person would record the positions, go sit down, and spend time. Not being one of those, I spend a minute or so on each problem, write my answer on the slip, and move to the next. Overall it takes me about ten or fifteen minutes, which was about as much time as I spent on this one. (A different sort of time pressure.) Then again, those that know me know that an average of 60-90 seconds per position is for me "taking a lot of time."

Then I do record the positions, make note of my answer, and get on with the tournament.
