Training Videos for Students

I have created a video on basic take points and gammon values for the collegiate program which is available to any student in the world under 26 who has registered for the International Collegiate Backgammon Championships.

Mochy and I will be doing more videos, as well as free lessons, and we will occasionally play matches with students and discuss them, as I did with one student this morning on SafeHarborGames.

If you know of any children who are eligible for the program, please have them go to the collegiate web site and register for the program.

We have dozens of great prizes and a considerable amount of money to give away as scholarships and to use for travel for the finalists.

We have yet to see a concerted effort by the backgammon federations to create a student program in their country and get kids more involved, and we would encourage all to become more active in this area. We hope to have a competition between the countries as well as individual competition.
