XG: how to vary position while reviewing analysis

Say I play a match on GridGammon and analyze it on XG. Then, I go over the errors.

Sometimes I want to vary the score to see its effect on the play, or perhaps make some small change to the checkers.

How do you set up these variations while reviewing the match?
