Barry, I love your response to Bob. No, you might not be able to prove it. By the way, can we prove anything? Can we prove we are here?

I doubt we could prove that to Bob Koca's satisfaction.

I love Bob, and have great respect for his mind, but he often confuses or complicates a simple argument with hypothetical questions or with technical, mathematical questions that might well be right but still don't change the basic argument or premise.

I guess if you are an academic with a high IQ and scientific approach to everything this kind of argument is natural.

If you really want to have fun with someone like that, read the book, The Rosie Project by Greame Simsion. It is hilarious and you might recognize quite a few backgammon players in the main character.
