You think cups should be mandatory through the baffle box. But here is a player (Bill Finneran) who has found that he ENJOYS using a baffle box without cups. If the opponent allows this, perhaps even preferring it themselves, is it not reasonable for the match to proceed in this way? Surely, as someone who wishes to promote the game, you would want players to ENJOY it as much as possible?

There are relatively minor points both for and against using cups with a baffle box but, whatever the rule is, is not freedom of choice for adult players more pertinent?
