I would probably play 20/18 6/5 in both cases. I'd like to re-make the 6pt and I don't think that getting hit is bad enough to cause me to lift the blot.

I'm not seeing a good reason to break a point other than the 6pt. The only entering roll that would force White to blot is 1x and then I think White will double hit, so I don't see that it gains much.
