RIP Raymond Smullyan

As others have mentioned, What Is The Name Of This Book is a natural starting point for his puzzle books (it was also his starting point). It covers a familiar type of puzzle -- a population of islanders that always tell the truth and another population that always lie. But he takes that genre through increasing complications, culminating with puzzles that illustrate Godel's incompleteness theorem.

To Mock a Mockingbird (combinatorics) and Satan, Cantor, and Infinity (set theory) were other favorites of mine.

He also wrote collections of humorous philosophical essays. This Book Needs No Title, and 2000 BC were my favorites.
