Alternate 'Flat Dice' Proposal--no split boards SVP

Agreed, Bob. The only way I'd be OK with this rule is if it simply permitted the player to roll his entire roll on the opposite side of the board, and not "split boards". The rule could be made to apply only when the other side is empty, which would cover almost every situation where it's perceived to be needed.

I've said this before, but I'll mention again the bad conjurer who flips dimes with one hand to distract watchers from observing what he's doing with the other. Are any of us vigilant enough to override our eyes' natural tendency to follow a die flying high over the bar onto the board on the roller's left side, instead of noticing the palmed one he's dropping on the right? Should we have to be? Is there any benefit to our opening the door on this possibility?
