I'm not sure if cable access is as big as it once was, but I think the basic idea is right. Would a Youtube backgammon channel be the modern equivalent? Using the same content mentioned. Or even a channel on one of the streaming services, such as the Hulu? Or even a shared "games" channel. Lure them in with into the van with free Candyland and then get them hooked on backgammon.
