I think with this move you are allowing more counterplay through priming than after running by attacking. After running you will have plenty of return shots with a stronger board. Attacking also doesn't improve his prime, while it disconnects him further.
Such double or triple-shot exposing plays looks unnatural at first but are actually common. Features to look for are big race lead, urge to connect back men, stripped opp's outfield turrets and big board advantage (2pts+).
It's sometimes correct to even break the high anchor into double outfield shot. I had a recorded position somewhere. I'll look for it.
