You are entitled to your opinion and you are entitled to vote with your feet. We have many who will not come to a tournament if there are clocks, and others who won't play without them. We have some who refuse to be forced to be streamed, even if it is in the finals, and we have many who insist they don't have that right, for the good of the game. There are tournaments where baffle boxes are mandatory if requested and available, or if the TD believes it is necessary for some reason, and people who hate that. I know people who refuse to come to tournaments because they insist on using that damn doubling cube!

We can't please everybody. I am not saying this applies to you, but sometimes we live with some things we don't particularly like because we love the game enough to play anyway; because the majority doesn't agree with us; or because others feel it is better for the game overall.

If you choose to stay home because of this issue, if it ever becomes an issue, that is your choice. That doesn't mean the merits of the issue are wrong.
