I'm not a huge fan of baffle boxes, but I have come to appreciate them. Especially given the fact that many players seem unable to execute a vigorous shake. Maybe time needs to be devoted to demonstrating a proper shake during the tournament announcements. Or as silly as it seems, players should demostrate their shake while going through the registration/check-in line. I watched a match at Boston (think it was Saturday) where an Open player literally just turned his cup over the board without really shaking at all. That's why I'm a proponent of playing "Baffle Box Preferred." Our local club went to that last year and it has been well received.
