I agree that ideally all Open level, Jackpot/Masters and eventually everything else under the sun should be clocked for various reasons but as you mentioned, this tournament doesn't tend to have an insane number of side events nor does it have a massive turn out. Last year attendance was the highest it has ever been I believe with 38 in the Open, 43 in Advanced, and 12 in Novice. Before that I'd say it averaged roughly 30 in the first two divisions or just above and far fewer in the novice or ~70 people on average. With a smaller field you don't really get behind much.

While I get the sentiment I feel under zero pressure to play faster than I'm comfortable with. Don't want me taking as much time as I feel to make a decision, clock my match, otherwise zip it.
