Plus, real dice can be switched or manipulated.
Again, too much emphasis on cheating. Cheating is not the major concern or risk.
Electronic dice have advantages for streaming; for people with visual or physical disabilities, and for people who simply like them over rolling dice (which most of us older, seasoned players do not). It might well be attractive to the younger generation.
Last week in our chouette in Chicago we had a 6-player chouette, all open level, highly experienced players (Carter, me, Rockwell, Taki, Rory, Blanchard), and because I was recording and streaming the chouette, we the P40 dicer and the game moved smoothly and was fun, and the transcription was greatly improved and people watching the stream enjoyed it. No cocked dice, and the dice were called out. No one in the game had any concerns about the dice not being fair.
There is a place and possible uses for electronic dice, and if you don't like it, don't use it. But be open to others who might like it and might see how it helps promote the game, especially for streaming and simply becuase others might enjoy the game more with it.
A cheater will find a way to cheat no matter what you do.
