It would be more convincing (read: better) if the examples you used were actually useful/real in OtB play. The position should be something that might come up (like the first position you posted) and ideally one where one might need to know the pip count for some reason. The two you posted 'for Neil' would almost never come up and even if they did a pip count would never be needed.
