I don't think a bot playing random equity losing moves to mimic a human's PR would equate to the same outcome either.
We do not have enough data to compare my win stats v. a 5 PR player to those of Falafel, etc... If you think a hundred matches (tops!) is enough data to compare something like this that is far off the mark. It reminds me of (and he reads here so sorry!) a very solid player offering to play me 7 point matches. This player averages, and I'm guessing here, around a 4 PR. In order to make it 'worth my while' he offered to play for $1k a match. If I wanted a minimum wage job I'd have one already.
Sorry Stick, but I don't think I'm insulting you by putting you slightly behind those 4 (PR wise) (Mochy, Michi, Falafel, and Victor)
I wouldn't call it insulting, wrong is the word I would use.
First, for all the reasons Tim said, and second, because you are only adjusting your PR down. You are not taking into account the times you went too far, or you didn't adjust when you should have.
To reply to Tim's post takes too much effort. Again, a book or series should be written on it and I'm too lazy to do it. We do take the times into account when we go to far, that's what XG does. If I cube a no double and my opponent takes instead of passes I don't adjust that cube decision. XG dings me for it and that's that. Sure, in some miracle world Tim speaks of there could be a better formula that can never work practically for calculating the percentage of time he could have passed and dividing it by the Bat symbol but we work with what we have.
