Stick moves 13/9 8/7*. The hit is clear, it's much too early to play something passive like 13/8, the only question is where to play the 4? 13/9 unstacks the heavy midpoint and brings more wood into range to make good points. What does 24/20 do? Nothing really. Some might think it prepares to anchor up if your blot on the bar pt. is hit but all it really does is give your opponent small #s to hit as well.

Readers move bar/16*. It's way too early in the game to play the passive bar/20 24/20 anchoring on the 5 pt. This would let me retain my racing lead and allow me to button up my loose blots. Hitting pushes you ahead in the race and leaves you with a lot more control of both outfields. I assumed the readers would vote unanimously on this.
