Nice problems!

I made the same choices that Mochy did. For me, the first and third problems both highlighted the value of the 8pt. The second problem, to me, is a balancing act between containment and abandonment. Moving all the way to the 10pt does a better job of containing the opponent's straggler but also abandons our own straggler, and so the question is whether the extra containment outweighs the extra abandonment.
