There will always be preferences both ways, but an earlier start times help reduce the chances that you have to play extremely late matches and the tournament running late on the final day when people have planes to catch or work in the morning. 10am for the London Open seems reasonable. Others are 12 or 12:30 and then are playing until 2am to get to the desired bracket position.
