Thanks, Igor. I had (unknowingly) gotten into the Help menu a different way, so didn't have as clear a path. I just asked for a new activation key e-mailed to me and had it within a couple of minutes.

(It is quite possible that the activation key was already accessible, as Neil thought. Using your directions afresh, I see that the new activation key is indeed listed now, I guess now I'll never know for sure if that was the case on the old laptop.)

In regards to your question, I had a black-screen scare at original setup, but everything seems fine now. The trip through the XG wizard was certainly fast. Thanks again for your help(s)!

Has anyone tried the free Microsoft Office substitute, "LibreOffice"?
