I might be missing the point of this particular quiz, but I will look at it in the same perspective as I would OTB.

As white, I would drop a cube here, as GNU has cubed me in similar situations many times, and I have fanned and been closed out for gammon countless times. I know that blue has a gazzillion gammons here, perhaps 25% to 50%. If white passes, she still has 25.7% MWC, which I would estimate as being better than if white takes the cube.

From blue's perspective, a gammon for blue will win the match. A blue cube will kill all those lovely gammons. Blue owns the cube, and can hold it and cash later if the gammons evapourate. There is some volatility in this position, and blue could regret offering the cube if white takes, and the dice turn in favour of white. Blue has significant equity with this position, and should protect it by holding the cube.
