There's a related issue with blitz group entries at some tournaments. Someone on staff is calling for entries to fill a blitz bracket, and you can go up to the table and see who has already signed up (for the to-be-played bracket/group). Then you can decide if it's easy pickin's or too tough to toss in you $, and wait for an easier 'draw'.

I realize the SuperJ has much larger entry fees than blitzes, but even so....
