Othello Quiz 2017

8/3,8/6. Cube is turned, I see no other alternatives to making the point and protecting at least one builder.
bar/22, 13/7,13/10. I am unwilling to surrender any of my homeboard assets, which limits me to only playing from the 13pt, and I not going past the 6pt either. Pure!
bar/22*. I'm playing for a gammon right now, and this gives me immediate attack while my opponent is still unstructured and weak.
bar/24*,8/5*. Priority is the homeboard and the home prime. I need to keep my opponent off balance, and try and create an attack.
11/2. The race is too close to give white opportunities to hit me, so I will play straight, and not try and force a position.
8/3,21/18*. Make the point, and hit. White has liabilities, I have threats (this reverses when white is on roll), and I see no reason not to attack.
13/11,6/5. Must play as close to GS here as possible, but still create a hint of threat, just in case white doesn't run away completely.
5/2*, 13/9. Cube turned, hit first, think later! I like the builders for the 4pt, the indirect addition for the 2pt, and I am playing to win a gammon for the match here, so its important to hit.
3/2(2)*,8/6. I initially wanted to make the 5 and hit, but that looks ridiculous. So, whats next up? Switch!
24/16. Its the opposite of intuitive. I dont want to break structure on my side, and if I can force white to attack me while behind my prime, then I think thats my best chance at winning.
How do I feel about it afterwards? Post coital for some of them, but quite concerned about others. As usual, an excellent quiz!
