Note also that if we try to compensate for this problem by having the app secretly generate more digits of the seed, then a new problem arises: The app could generate a rigged sequence of dice by some other means, and then "back-solve" to find a seed that generates the rigged sequence. It could then lie and claim that the back-solved seed was being used all along.
