Such triangle setup with such low number of checkers, depending on the distribution, is worse by 1-2 (for even number of checkers) or 0,5-1 pip (for odd number of checkers) than rolls position. Here, the straggler helps minimizing the wastage, so the penalty for front-loaded structure is probably not more than 0,5 epc. But there is a countereffect - with the straggler present, the stacked position is more "gappy", so actually, I think it might have to be penalized in contrary to the "triangle" one. Not idea how big the penalty should be. I'd probably use about the same EPC for both OTB.
