In the beginning I was only using the cube when I was sure the opponent should Pass.

Later on I started using it in a similar fashion as if I was telling my opponent "I Double because of the risk involved-you should pass". I was doing that when I sensed my win was not certain. In a way I was offering my opponent the option to Pass giving me 1 solid point or continue in which case he would lose 2 points most of the times. Most of those cases were Takes, yet both my opponents and myself were dropping instantly. :-)
