Incorrect match length and Crawford rules interaction

In Response To: USBGF Rules Reboot - proposal - public comment welcome (Rich Munitz)

Match to 9 but both players think it is to 7. Score just became 6-5 and then a few moves were played and then director tells them that 9 is the correct match length. Is it Crawford game? Note that either player wins by reaching 7 in that game.
