There's long been a requirement for tournament dice randomizers: lipped cups.

I don't mind baffle boxes, and in many ways I like them. What I do mind is using a lipped cup to randomize dice before dropping them into a randomizer. If a baffle box randomizes the dice, then no need for a cup. If a baffle box doesn't randomize the dice, then no need for a baffle box.

Thus, my preference would be to agree to a baffle box so long as I were not required to use a cup, but decline the baffle box otherwise. That goes along with the stated intent of the proposed rules. The game is slowed down by requiring double randomization; more so when a player has to re-roll due to forgetting to use a cup.
