Hi

I have not played backgammon online for quite some time and am wondering where is everyone playing these days?

I find a lot of browser-based, mostly Flash sites to play on, they are free but some have a ton of ads.

Which are the play-for-real-money servers now? Which are the best and most trustworthy?

I see a lot of sites telling you to use your FaceBook login to play and I see on FaceBook many places to play. Which are the best of the FaceBook backgammon places? Are there any for real money play and if so, do they offer protection from players using bots to play?

I believe GridGammon is still alive, is there any money action there?

What about bots, is Extreme still the best software to analyze matches, positions etc., or is there any new software out there? Is GNUbg still be widely used because it is a free program? Anyone still using Snowie?
