Fast Dice Pickup

I think it is best to say something first, but the others are alternate strategies. In general, the players that do fast pickup after years of clock usage are doing it deliberately. It begs the question that if your are fast player anyway, and there is 15 second delay, there is no time pressure, so why do the fast pickup?
