Any explanations?

Three stupid questions for experts of mathematic, psychology and game:

1. Is it possible that one less known player can beat one famous in two matches till 19(!!!) points? 2. If answer of 1. "yes", how you can explain huge difference in the finish scores in both matches? 3. What should imagine somebody, who never played in BG-events, if you let him know the results of two those matches?
