Monte Carlo Boards

I can think of several, one of which they already adopt: a longer than standard delay setting.

Yes, the rules allow for a 15 second delay.

Others could be adopting the EUBGF rule for pausing or resetting the delay;

I saw a few players pausing the clock and resetting the delay after a cocked roll.

they might invest in thicker chequers, or even new boards;

Buying 150 boards would be extremely expensive. I'm unsure whether thicker checkers would help, but am happy to pass along any feedback.

they could allow players to use their own boards, where space permits.

As far as I know, if both players agree, they are allowed to play on their own boards.

Finally, they could apply Baffle Box Preference. Those players who want to avoid all the cocked dice/improper rolling should bring one.

Baffle boxes are allowed by mutual agreement. If anyone strongly feels that the baffle box rule should be "preference" instead, I am happy to pass that suggestion along as well.
