Talking while thinking, is it ok?

I don't really care much if the opponent is talking to themselves, but what bothers me, and a reason why players should be allowed to wear headphones, is I hate when players will talk to you and ask you questions or talk about plays as the match is going on. Some of it could be to get into your head...either way, I would just like to be able to wear headphones and ignore it.
