This reader, for one, does not believe that Joe intended to mislead. And anyway, those members who didn't vote had 10 or 11 days to get the message, one way or another, and vote if they felt strongly enough.

If your figures were correct (127 to 27) it was actually 82.5% in favour, not 81%.
